Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 2026

1. Scope

FTNSPlus is a company based in the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy describes how FTNSPlus ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information, and how you can exercise your privacy rights and choices. It applies to our platform, including our mobile applications, web portal, and related technology and services (collectively, the "Service"). Please also read our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Service.

Our processing of personal data is governed by the law of the United Kingdom, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We act as a data controller in respect of the personal data we process—we decide how we collect and use your information in line with this Policy and applicable UK (and, where relevant, EEA) law.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored securely), and, if you sign in with a third party (e.g. Google or Apple), the identifier and profile details they share with us.
  • Profile information: details you add to your profile, such as date of birth, gender, height, weight, activity level, goals, country, location, and avatar.
  • Support and communications: information you send when you contact us for help or feedback.

Information From Using the Service

  • Content you share: activities, routes, photos, comments, and other content you post or upload.
  • Activity data: information about activities you record or upload, such as type (e.g. running, walking, cycling), date, time, distance, duration, speed, pace, energy intake (kcal), GPS route data, and, if you choose to provide it, heart rate or other health-related metrics.
  • Location information: we collect location when you use features that need it (e.g. route tracking). You can control location access in your device settings; some features may not work without it.
  • Usage information: how you use the Service (e.g. pages or screens you view, features you use, challenge or club participation, likes and comments).
  • Device information: device type, operating system, app version, and similar technical and log data.
  • Payment information: if you make a payment through FTNSPlus, we or our payment processors collect information needed to process the transaction (e.g. last four digits of a card). We do not store full payment card details.

Information From Other Sources

  • Connected devices and apps: when you connect a wearable, fitness app, or other service (e.g. Garmin, Apple Health), we may receive activity and related data you authorize. We use it to provide and improve the Service and do not sell or use it for advertising without your consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide the Service: create and manage your account; record and analyze your activities and performance; enable GPS-based tracking and map features; personalize your experience (e.g. recommendations, challenges); sync data between the app and web; let you interact with other users (e.g. comments, leaderboards); and contact you about the Service, important changes, or support.
  • To assist you: respond to your requests, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer support.
  • To analyze and improve: understand how the Service is used, fix problems, develop new features, and improve security and performance.
  • Marketing and promotions: with your consent or where permitted by law, we may send you news, offers, or promotions about FTNSPlus. You can opt out at any time.
  • To protect you and the Service: enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy, detect and prevent abuse or fraud, protect security, and address legal or safety issues.
  • Legal and regulatory: comply with laws, respond to valid legal process, and protect our or others' rights.

4. How We Share Your Information

What Others Can See

Depending on your privacy settings, some information may be visible to other users or the public. When you share a route publicly, we show only limited information (e.g. route details, description, photos you add, and your first name only—not full name or contact details). You control what you share; avoid including personal details in descriptions or photos.

Service Providers

We share information with vendors who help us run the Service (e.g. hosting, analytics, payment processing, support). They may only use it to perform services for us and must protect it under contract.

Third-Party Integrations

If you choose to connect third-party apps or devices, the information you share with them is governed by their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

Partners and Events

We may share information with partners who sponsor challenges or events you join, when you agree or when it is necessary to provide that feature.

Legal Requirements and Safety

We may preserve or disclose your information to law enforcement, government agencies, or others when required by law (e.g. court order, subpoena) or when we believe it is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property, or to prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on our websites and in our apps for authentication, security, preferences, and to understand how the Service is used. You can control many of these through your browser or device settings. Blocking or disabling some of them may affect how the Service works (e.g. staying signed in or saving preferences). We may use analytics services that collect data about use of our Service; you can often opt out via their tools or your settings.

6. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access and portability: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and in some regions receive it in a portable format.
  • Correct: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information. You can update much of your profile and account data in the app or web portal.
  • Delete or restrict: request deletion of your account and associated data, or restrict certain processing. You can delete content and your account through the Service where we provide that option; after deletion, we may retain some information as required by law or for legitimate purposes.
  • Withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent (e.g. for marketing or some location use), you may withdraw it at any time via settings or by contacting us.
  • Object or restrict (EEA/UK and others): object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request restriction; you may also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.

We do not use automated decision-making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you without human involvement where required by law.

To exercise your rights or for questions, contact us at the details below. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 13 (or the higher age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it. We may apply additional privacy or safety measures for users under 18 where appropriate.

8. How We Protect Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These include secure storage, encryption where appropriate, access controls, and contracts with service providers. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and protect your account.

9. Retention of Information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and longer where required by law (e.g. tax, legal claims) or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. security, dispute resolution). When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it by law. Some information may remain in backups or logs for a limited time. Content you have shared with others (e.g. public routes) may remain visible until we remove it in line with our systems and policies.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence, including countries that may have different data protection laws. When we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms recognized by applicable law) to help protect your information. If you have questions about these transfers or want a copy of the safeguards we use, please contact us.

11. Your Rights Under UK and EEA Law

As a UK-based company, we process your data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area (EEA), or a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the rights described in Section 6, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lead supervisory authority in the UK is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); you can find details and how to report a concern at ico.org.uk.

Our processing of your personal data is based on grounds such as: performance of our contract with you (e.g. providing the Service); your consent (e.g. marketing, optional features); our legitimate interests (e.g. improving the Service, security, enforcement); and legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. For questions about your rights or our legal bases, contact us at the details below.

12. Notice for Residents of Other Jurisdictions

If you are resident in a jurisdiction outside the UK or EEA (for example, certain US states) that has its own privacy laws, you may have additional rights under those laws—such as the right to know, correct, or delete personal information, or to opt out of certain sharing or use. We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. To exercise any such rights or to appeal a decision we make about your request, contact us at the details below. This Policy and our processing are primarily governed by UK law; we will respond to your request in accordance with applicable law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy and update the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will provide prominent notice (e.g. in the Service or by email) before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and delete your account if you wish.
